The Local Gameroom...

In my experience as a college student, visiting my friends and experiencing all that the college life has to offer, it seems that in some form or another, the students are provided with a "game room" or recreation area for students to congregate and enjoy a little free time while on campus. I feel that this is partially in an effort to encourage interaction between students and a sense of friendship in a new environment. At the college campus i attend, we have just such a room at our disposal. It is modestly furnished with 2 pool tables, a foosball table, one pingpong table, a pinball machine, and a television. There are also several chairs and tables set up along the walls.

Now, it is my understanding that in some instances, these accomadations would be more than welcome. However, before passing judgement on our little room, you may want to hear a few things.

Both pool tables are without a working ball return system as well as a working coin exchange. They are scratched, torn, and the sticks are just a little bent with no tips. The foosball table has no ball, and half the "players" dont move. A pingong table with no net and a pinball machine that doesnt accept any change to play it complete our aray of game room tables.
So, in a room designed for intermixing of students, there are a few chairs and a television that supprots only the basic tuning and a simple av input and output.

Not to tread on any toes, because the effort has obviously been put forth, but it seems a little bit of a slackers job to keep the room maintained.
